[Mafia]Installing Problems.

Well after watching the Mafia II videos I wanted to replay the old one.
So i started installing the game.
After awhile it asks to put it the 2nd cd. But here is the problem.
After a bit the installation seems to be frozen, the bar is not advancing.
It stopped at A6.dta
I checked the Cd, it doesn't not seemed to be damaged, except for some few minor small scratches.

Download the 2nd cd from a torrent and mount the image.

It sounds like the cd is bad to me.

I looked on the interwebz and seems like this is a frequent issue.
And they still have no idea how to fix them

Try creating an image of the 2nd cd and mount that or burn the cd onto an RW. Had a similar issue with NfS MW and it did the trick.

Aussie's solution is solid. It fixed my problem back when I was playing Mafia.

Well i guess they put some kind of remote auto destruction program so people will want to play mafia 2 even more.

No, it's an old problem that the people who had the warez version didn't have to deal with nearly as much. Ironic how these things work, huh.

well teh 2nd cd is at 10% download, not alot of people seeding.
and others i still have to try.
