I have the fatal1ty headset, cheap as chips and does it's job. For the best combo do what Sydney said, senns with a zalmann clip-on. When one dies you needn't replace the other, and you'll have top notch quality both in and out.

I've never heard of a problem with the siberia mic, you may have a dead one. Return it for ^^^ combination.

the mic on mine is crystal clear as well, on both my old icemat and my siberias.  there's probably something wrong with yours specifically.
