Well my external hard drive just fell off its shelf, which is only about 14 inches off the ground. It landed on its side n now keeps makin funny noises. I unplugged it and plugged it back in, all windows does is say "installing device driver", it recognises the hard drive as a usb mass storage device fine, but it wont come up in my computer. Its got all my music on and lots of my uni work. Is there any way I can check if its royally fucked? N is there any way I can get my data?
Also it still appears in device manager, but apparently has no volumes. I'm guessing its ballsed but not totally so.
Eh, my vote would be that it's fucked.
