Minnesota has been 6 months without a seat in the Senate, and it looks like even if Norm Coleman does lose, he'll appeal to the courts (rightly so), this might drag on for a while. I guess that's one way to stop the Dems getting the magical #60. lol

Please explain to me why it matters which of these traitors wins the election?

Personally I think al franken would be more entertaining while the US government fucks my nation to hell.

Because if franken wins dems can pass whatever they like.

If franken loses, the repubs will be able to continue the facade of opposition.

Hopefully, this will result in Minnesota enacting runoff voting in the future.

The only reason this election was so close is because a third party candidate took about 10 to 15% of the vote.

Fight???? The POS republicans spent billions destroying a country and rebuilding it while turning a blind eye to our own border security and the banking industry that got the country into this rat fuck.

Fight???  Who the fuck are you kidding here, the republicans have nothing to fight against because it is the same fuck America policies they were inacting.  As I recall Bush created the Mediscare #2 program that was the biggest liberal entitlement ever.

Did I say fight for what is best?  No

The republican party is splitting apart because many conservatives, including myself, cannot stand the hyper focus on religious and social issues that are in the end irrelevant while the real issues go unnoticed.

You said that they wouldn't be able to put up a fight.  I just pointed out that in reality they have nothing to fight over.

And I agree with you, the Republican party is no longer conservative and that is why I no longer support it or feel it is worth thinking it can be reformed.  It is part of the One Party Two Party System in America.

That's why I didn't bother voting last year, neither of them were worth my time, but I would not be terribly surprised if the Republican party splits outright or overhauls soon, the current path they're taking is going to destroy them.

The most efficient way to deal with politicians is to shoot them, which is one reason I never want to get into politics as a career, it would be too tempting to shoot them.

If only GOP supporters showed such concern for the integrity of the 2000 presidential election.
Oh wait, their guy won that one.....

Messing around with election results is an act of treason in a democracy as it is the equivalent of a coup, violators should be treated as traitors.

So you're saying Algore should have just sat back and taken it rather than taking the election results all the way to the SCOTUS?

Oh, wait, he's your boy...that's TOTALLY different.

Instead of a debate over "hanging chads" we should have had a debate over "hanging jeb" and his accomplices.

And if you want to blame anyone or anything for the messy political cycles where one party rules everything, it all started with the 2000 election. In fact, much of what has gone wrong in this country started in 2000. For 25 years before that the American public was always smart enough to split congress and the presidency between the two parties. After 2000,  the pendulum is swinging hard right to hard left... its a mess. Democracy in the US only works if one party controls the executive and the other party controls Congress.

I can't agree with you enough on your last point. But we learned that (again) in 1994, not 2000. Then again in 2004. And we'll learn it again in the mid-terms next year.

And how's that? It's a representative democracy -- a republic. It works fine. It's the representatives themselves that suck.

I thank god everyday that the people in this country actually making laws and prosecuting people are at least a little bit smarter (or maybe they just have more to lose) than people like Sealxo....
