As for claymores, I think they got them near perfect in 2142:
You can destroy them with engineer kit (which would get more people as engineers too)
You can get by them, all though as a check it does take a little bit of time and you do have to actually see them
Engineers can already disarm claymores, but nobody seems to realise this...
Apparently they are going to make it possible to pass clays while prone.

Also, CSS is horrible
I thought they could, but then I think I tried and couldn't so I thought then that they couldn't

Using the 2142 method would be nice for claymores. I don't think they should add the 'crouch to get by' from 2142 though. Just prone is fine.

CSS is fun, especially when you are a co-owner of a fun big clan with a dozen servers. Nice change of pace too.

True, but without the safe prone it is often impossible to do so as claymores are frequently positioned so that they can only be approached from the front. Even if not, the trigger mechanism is so flawed that they might even go off if you approach them right from behind.

Yeah, you really have to get behind them to disarm...I've never had a problem with them going off from the wrong side, but what's really irritating is that they always seem to go off right as you see them and stop moving

Also very few people play as engineer on foot, although I like to do so sometimes for the pump shotty or Mp7

MP7 is the most epic gun of all BF2, well at least regarding sound

I frequently play "dismounted engineer" too. It's not too easy but the engi got some of the most interesting weapons out there (try the full auto shotty on Great Wall!) and I like to repair team vehicles occasionally.

MP7 is the most fun gun in the entire game. hands down, no argument.

Yeah it's good, been a long while since I've played EF, is it really full-auto though?
Always good fun chucking mines over the wall too

Engineer is the best class on Great Wall. Had a hell of a round there the other day running round like a nutter blowing people's faces off with shotguns and mines. The Benelli is the mightiest of all shotguns.

Too bad they nerfed it. It is still a great gun though, and I love the sights too. It gives the engineer a little range, plus the large mag on single shot allows for great sniper supression.

It is, but the ROF is so low, you could probably tuck out shells faster with one of the semis. However when an enemy squad huddles together in one of the walls towers, just stick in that huge barrel and press the trigger XD Other than that it is great for clearing out enemies under the wall that hide behind those grates.

The EU Benelli is the best shotty ingame as well. Semi speed with all the benefits of a pump action.

Yep, exactly. It loses a little damage compared to the pumps but the rapid fire more than makes up for it. It can also actually be used at range with some effectiveness, unlike the jackhammer/DAO/Saiga which are useless outside point blank range.

The Benelli is awesome for guarding the gates in conjunction with some mines. Any infantry that try to get through or drivers who dismount to clear the mines are doomed in the confined space.

Man, I love Great Wall. Unless my team is losing, that is. That map is a bitch when you're getting beaten.

Regarding the MP7, it is the best of the SMGs for sure.

The EU stock weapons are somewhat overpowered compared to the other faction in general. The Chinese can handle them on Great Wall because the AK-47 is a close range killer and the MEC only faces them in large vehicle maps, but in general the EU stock weapons are a cut above the rest.

There is the option to turn the voice over volume down, but it does not work. I could care less about the commander or anyone else spamming voice over, its just the sound that gets annoying. Dice should fix the option to turn it down so players that don't want to hear it don't have to.

Thats for other players microphones, not the spotting stuff
It is not. Did you even check before saying that or just assume it was? Game options are on the left, VOIP is on the right. Turn it all the way down and you will still hear both voice over and VOIP just fine.

Agreed again on all counts! It's a good thing the Famas never became an unlock, that's for sure. Only the mighty AK-47 gives the PLA a chance. It's very interesting to play Great Wall on 16 player I/O on the PL server and witness the ferocious Famas vs Ak-47 battles.

I still think the RPK is superior to the HK21, however.

He's right, the 'voice over' slider doesn't seem to do anything, but it's with the other game audio settings/above the 'english voice over only' box, so it should be for radio chat...VoiP has separate 'transmit'/receive' sliders on the right.

The voice over slider is for the guy that speaks when you first make an account. Like the guy that goes " To change weapon press the ___ key "

The Benelli shotgun in EF is not fully automatic, but semi-auto.
The Jackhammer is the only full-auto shotgun in the game.

But it should also turn down soldier chat since that is still the game talking.
