I was on Sharqi on USMC only to get locked onto from the flag west of construction site (forget what it's called) while on the roof of the TV Staton. That's half way across the fucking map. In general, I get ridonkulous lock-ons on me in very weird places on Sharqi. I'm almost 100% sure I can't lock on to people at the TV station from that flag. Balls.
Sure you can. You can get a lock-on from Surveillance Post as well as Hotel. I shot down many Cobras from both of these CPs. If they fire off flares, it makes it worse as it attracts the missiles down towards them. The flares also dissipate into the TV Station roof by the time the missiles actually get there.
