The unemployed in this case were for the majority, women. If there is another gender willing to start working in America, now is the time they need to start. lolKmarion wrote:
It was a great employer. Not too mention that some of the guys who left their jobs (which were filled by the unemployed when they left) never had the opportunity to try and reclaim them. So by thinning out the population, namely the employed, we can create new jobs. YES! A solution.
I just reread what I wrote. The thinning out part... lets call it the Palin Plan..lolAussieReaper wrote:

Our government is powerful enough that it could just declare all our foreign debts invalid while claiming that no one owes us either.Superior Mind wrote:

I've said it before, but honestly, we should just clear the books and start over.
There is a difference between a federal consumption tax ( like the 'fair tax' concept) and federally-run 'sin tax.'Turquoise wrote:
Take your pick. Either have a viable universal healthcare system, or tax the shit out of unhealthy things.
At this point, those are your only options.
I find it odd that many of the same people in support of replacing the income tax with the Fair Tax (a consumption tax) bitch about other consumption taxes like the ones mentioned above.
Yeah, let's get rid of the FDA too - we don't need clean food!mcjagdflieger wrote:

"Bring back the one we had in the first place?" But I don't want to be a British colony! Oh, wait, I am in Texas. But I don't want to be a Spanish colony! Or Mexican. Or whatever.mcjagdflieger wrote:

Bailing out the country wasn't any help?Kmarion wrote:
How long before we stop giving China a preferred trading status? They sure as hell aren't returning the favor.
You mean the debt they can sell out from under our feet at anytime? I'm talking about trading policy bud.AussieReaper wrote:

There are over 1,000 federal agencies ranging from law enforcement to regulating the flow of showerheads and toilets, cut the random shit. Reducing the # of gallons per flush leads to more flushing, and therefore, more water use.Poseidon wrote:

Don't get me wrong, they deserve credit. China bails us out to fund their economy (the Saudis too). I'm just talking about the complacency we have.AussieReaper wrote:

They haven't always had it easy and have had to work hard to make it to where they are now.
Pretty sure you'd be in even more crap than before.Turquoise wrote:

They buy up your shitty bonds. The US is mortgaging its children's future in return for plasma TVs and other shoddy junk.kmarion wrote:

The EPA banned the use of DDT in 1972, which led to its disuse in Regions such as Africa, where malaria is now the #1 killer of children. Malaria was eradicated in Europe, North America, and other places due to the widespread use of DDT. Millions have died of malaria in places where DDT would have eradicated it by now.
Environmentalists have said that the use of light bulbs in India would be a "climate disaster" while many poor there use kerosene lamps to light their homes(not environmentally friendly). They also say that it would be horrible if everyone in China and India was able to have access to flush toilets, instead, they argue those people should use dry toilets(glorified hole in the ground).
This type of stuff is BS to give them(Enviro-Statists) more control.
