Neither, both of those are rebranded pieces of half-shitty 2007 tech. This is superior.

The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

It's newer and twice as powerful as the most expensive one, whilst still being cheaper.Andoura wrote:

Someone told me to take a look at the Memory clock and Core clock and the higher it is, the more the graphic card is good... Is it true?Freezer7Pro wrote:

Clocks don't matter as much as many other factors. Just trust me, I've spent the last two years tech supporting here.Andoura wrote:

HD 4770 or HD 4850.
HD 4770 is considerably cheaper than HD 4850, runs cooler and is not far in terms of performance. OC well too and pretty quiet. I might opt for HD 4770 atm.

I have a question (not worth its own thread tbh)
Has anyone ever heard of a video card brand called "Amaze"? I can pick up a Amaze 1GB HD4870 for only $250 (When I bought my 1GB HD 4870 a couple months ago it was $415)
I gather they are a very cheap brand and probably not very good... just interested because I have never seen them before
EDIT: Turns out they're an Australian company founded in 2008 so i doubt anyone has heard of them.

wait for the GT 300 awsmness.
Some retailers use non-branded cards and sell them as their own. Like Pixmania Radeon HD 4890. Or brazilian Mosquito Geforce GTX 280 etc.Little BaBy JESUS wrote:

For 250 bucks you mean in Australian dol lars right? because that would not be very cheap otherwise.

My ideal was that by the time that thing comes out he will surely have enough, right?GC_PaNzerFIN wrote:

Better ask him. And rest of the specs too because GT300 will defo need some higher end C2Q, preferrably i7 to get much of difference. And real question: does he even need it?Ioan92 wrote:
