if you're on something debian based I think you can just apt-get it

GFire or Gaim Fire is the plugin for Pidgin which is how XFire is implimented into Linux.12/f/taiwan wrote:

I thought he did it so that he could ask cool questions and then rage at people....
... and chances are your unbuntu distro already has pidgin bundled in or had it as an option when you went though your install wizard.

1. Pidgin is already installed on your system
2. Download the .deb or .deb 64-bit depending on what architecture your using
http://gfire.site40.net/?page_id=24
3. Then just double click the file and the GUI dpkg will take care of everything for you.
4. Restart pidgin and now you can add xfire accounts just like MSN, AIM and such using pidgin.
Vóila.

just install windows 95... it would be propably easier...
