Hey guys, was wondering if you could help me out with a problem on the computer.

When I open up iTunes, Spotify, or go to watch a video on Youtube, there's no sound. On Youtube, the movie plays but no sound comes through, and on Spotify and iTunes, the tracks don't play.

It's happened on more than a few occasions, and it's getting pretty annoying. Any thoughts?

Cheers.

Update your drivers or re-download your drivers... Should solve the problem.

If not follow this:

Right click on my computer, click properties, go to hardware, then Device manager

Click on Sound, video and game controllers, delete everything under ''Sound, video and game controller''

Reboot your computer. Your computer should search for the drivers and re-install them by it self, should solve the prob.

I can't re-boot computer, as it's my dad's and it's password protected.

I'm waiting on His Fatness getting out the toilet so he can, I think that normally sorts the problem.

Wait...

You created a thread before even trying reboot? Reboot solves 95% of problems. If ppl made threads before even trying reboot, this forum would become really messy.

Panz, I wanted to know if there was a way to solve the problem without re-booting, 'cause I'm on my dad's computer, and as I said, it's password protected. But, I've re-booted now 'cause I dragged him outta the toilet and made him put his password in, and it's working now.

Is this a problem with the drivers as Andoura said?
