Do you guys buy this?  Anyone ever look into these systems?

Looking at the following: Velocity, Falcon, Overdrive PC....right now anyway.  Looks like Overdrive is the best deal, because of their hyperclocking claims, but want to see if anyone else has had experience with this.

That's a complete BULLSHIT Ad. I've got twice the computer and payed a little over $1700 to build it.

Don't waste your money on those. Those prices are outrageous. You can build a similar PC for about a third of those prices and it'll be just as fast and rewarding. As far as overclocking you can get the next step up in processor or heck add another stick of 1GB RAM and you'll be set. Would add less than $100 in overall cost.

This is my rig, amd 3500 with 2 gig of ram and 2 video cards for an additional $300.00

The game is not designed to run on a dual core system so don't waste your money for that, also these prices are in Canadian dollars! For all you yanks.

Looks like a pile of .... to me. imho

All they're doing is overclocking the processor and memory (and maybe video card).  The gains from doing that are not worth the additional hassle, IMHO.  I've tweaked my three rigs, and although it is fun to see how much I can OC and still run Prime95 for 8 hours or more, I sure am not interested in having my rig permanently overclocked.  Stock is more than fine for what I do with it.

thanks - yah - I have been able to find much better pricing than those from Overdrive PC......

I have been struggling with exactly what to spend money on and exactly how much more performance I will get.

Definitely want an AMD Athlon 64 maybe even an FX....wonder if the FX is worth it.

Would like dual video cards - but again, not sure if it is worth it (planning ahead for the next BF game).

Min of 2gigs RAM - upgradeable.

Does RAID make sense for storage or maybe just one big SATA drive?

Like everyone else - trying to get the most bang for the buck - but want to have this for more than 1-2 years!!
