For most, Vista is a flashy interface, something people absolutely ADORE.

I must say, since I went Vista, I can't go back. Aside from the gay control panel, there's not much bad I can say about it.
The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

Seems strange to upgrade to Vista now, when 7 isn't far round the corner.
not from a business stand point.  Businesses don't usually switch things like OS's when the first come out.  The fact that XP has been out for so long makes people forget that XP wasn't adopted overnight either.  They need to be sure the major bugs are ironed out before putting it on machines that have to function.  There are a lot of places that never even fully made the switch to xp even.  Hell the company I work for still uses PIII's with win 98 on the majority of our warehouse pc's.

Windows 7 could be released with any number of bugs that don't get looked at until Service Patch 3...

Most big companies use old OS because of this fact. You'd rather stick to a tried and true platform, which at the same time does not cost as much money. Imagine all the licences they are going to have to buy.

Bitch get back in the closet.

When Vista first came out I got it with a laptop...kinda a bad choice since I got raped trying to run lots of shit on 2gb of ram and I regretted it ever since. Now that I have it on a desktop with nice specs its incredible - only trouble I had was activation. I seem to recall most my troubles coming from lack of compatibility which was to be expected and the fact that I had to reinstall a few times because I was faced with errors in Windows Update who's only cures were reinstalling (kinda a big deal when you're on a laptop w/ shitty specs =/)
