Windows does a fine job on its own, in my opinion.
Auslogics works for me. Never tried the others though.

I use o&o defragger, its not free and i'm not sure if tis the best.

Diskeeper. The built-in Windows defragger is based on Diskeeper.

Choose the no paging file option.
Reboot your computer.
Then just set a new one. It'll make it continuous.

yeah i have done it forever with diskkeeper, i script my maintenance and don't want to do that each time. I was curious if any of these free ones did it.HaiBai wrote:

Diskeeper only takes a long time the first time. After that, everything becomes defragmented, and it'll never take as long as the first time. It'll depend on how many files you've installed or downloaded.jsnipy wrote:

@HaiBai: I completely understand what you have said, but I recall diskkeeper having an explicit option consolidate the page file (as well as consolidating directory space) and I was wondering if other free ones had that same option.
