OH FUCK...(Video driver on lappy fuck up)

So today I decided to update my graphics card driverss on my laptop; a 9600m gt 512 mb. Went on Nvidia downloaded the newest ones I can find. They don't seem to work. So in my drunken haze I decided to go into Device manager and Uninstalled my display adapter thingy. Then I realized I FUCKED UP. Big time. Now my 9600 isn't registering. I've tried to update with earlier nvidia drivers and that doesnt work. I need help guys. How do I get it to register again!? (note: im not that good with this kind of tech stuff. I know specs, if their good or bad, but this is out of my league).

What I'm staring at now.

D'oh, I should have recognized from the screenie. Reboot should have re-enabled the card, though I could be wrong....

I'm so sleepy right now, sorry, but ATM, I can't think of anything else.

Hang in there Rohirm, don't do anything rash. You'll be able to get help on here, I'm sure of it. It's a simple fix, I'm sure of that.

Yeah I made sure they were the right ones. This a head scratcher for me...
If I try to install the new drivers nothing happens. All it will say after my reboot is Standard VGA Graphics Adapter. The 9600 won't show up at all. Tried re booting, nothing happened. Still Standard VGA Graphics with a shit refresh rate.

- remove any nvidia related software from PC
- boot into safe mode
- install drivers
- reboot
