I'm drawing a name on the blank (I'll edit this post if I remember the name) where it's supposed to be the first single player game where the computer is actually other players. It's supposed to be like ninjas from the middle ages trying to escape the FBI in a modern setting. Somebody would play as the ninja while other players can connect and play the role of the FBI so it's like 1 vs however many FBI people there are and they'll respawn closer and closer to the end of the map and their goal is simply to stop the one ninja. It's something along those lines and I wouldn't be surprised if their announcement was officially announcing it.
Heh, yeah, I edited my post just as you were posting that. I never really heard much about it like the other big Valve games so I figured maybe it slipped under the radar and they were going to make a big deal about it at E3.

Ahh, a friend of mine showed me that like 3-4 months ago and said the guys that made HL made it, only assumed. I didn't even look at the trailer to be honest.

tbh sony doesnt even seem like it wants to compete anymore, sure they have lots of first party studios but they arent attempting to maintain a hold over any third parties. When you consider it's their most recent major release it would seem to be a very strange choice. Especially given that it would likely be a few new stages and a reskining of the four main characters. About all this stuff with the XBox camera thing, it looks so damn gimmicky, reminds me of the Wii and PS Eyetoy. The painting thing looks like a joke, the phone thing is incredibly easily replaced by skype, the Milo thing looks like something only some lonely kid would use. Some of this stuff looks as gimmicky as the PS Home, because we all know how good that turned out right?
And about L4D2, what a fuckin joke. How about they just make more maps and weapons and put it in the first one. You expect me to pay $50 for L4D only to play 4 maps, fight 6 types of zombies, and use like 6 weapons and then to still pay $50 for another one? Yeah, fuck that...

Yeah but it's still paying for something that should be free. I like the free PS3 stuff because I'll play online games every once in a while with friends. That's really all I do online with it and I'll only play online like once a week. It's a nice feature that doesn't even seem like $50/year for me.

Well if that's all Valve have then E3 is over as far as i'm concerned. I wanted to see HL2: Episode 3. The fact that L4D2 was shown on its own implies that HL will not appear at the show.

Valve's decision with L4D2 is going to bite them in the ass. I know half the AU crew wont buy it, considering Cheez just got a 4 pack of the original. This is fucking lame.

I don't understand why Valve is already jumping into L4D2. How about they treat L4D like they do TF2 and keep updating it instead of making everybody shell out another $50-60 for the same game with most likely another 4 maps and a couple of melee weapons? Add more to the first game to actually make it enjoyable longer and offer it free!
I was only interested in Alan Wake, Forza 3 and Splinter Cell Conviction (the first 3 were great, the 4th was an abomination). Everything else including natal=-meh. But the facebook twitter thing on xbox sounds...interesting.
Now I await the PS3 conference tomorrow and see what they have in store.
