What is the F1 Racing equivalent to motorcycles?

I just did some simple googling and couldnt find anything but the PMRA or something, website looked like it was set up by a 13 year old in 2002 and never changed...

I'm looking for some videos or even races to go check out because I love motorcycles and love sport bikes (even though my dad wont let me own one until I'm 18 so he doesn't feel guilty when I die) and I think some of the races could be bad ass and I could connect on a better level of understanding what the drivers are doing and how amazing it is

Yup, Motp GP is to two wheels what F1 is to 4 wheels. In fact today was the GP of Mugello, and it was a fantastic race!

This stands out for me as an example of a fantastic scrap between two of the finest GP riders, Valentino Rossi on the Fiat Yamaha and Casey Stoner on the Ducati. It's from Laguna Seca 2008 (and check out Rossi's through-the-dirt action through the Corckscrew). I really enjoy F1 but for me MotoGP is just the ultimate in racing enjoyment with tons of overtaking, insane speeds and non-stop action. Love it!

He is the most complete driver in the world. Last winter, Scuderia Ferrari (F1) let him test at Mugello in one of their F2008 cars, and he seriously looked like a pro

I love riding street bikes. My friends and I joke that we can drive twice as well as most people on half as many wheels.

But sometimes you have to face it...you've only got two wheels.

Sport bikes, to clarify.

I oscillate between "street" bikes and dirt/dual sports, so I've always just called them street or dirt. Both damn fun.

It keeps getting better every season imo. Question is will the 250 class still be as good when it gets replaced with 600's next season? I love the 250's as it is but with the costs running so high (nearly as much a a full MotoGP team) then i guess something had to be done.

its a shame have watched the 250's religiously for years some of the best racing happens there. 600's will be crap.

It took a special type of rider to ride a 500, most of the grid now wouldnt be able to! look at rossi's first season on the NSR he kept binning it. The new 'kids' just jump on these 4 strokes and piss of up the road to easy to ride.

The Ducati don't look easy to ride, seems only Stoner can manage it Hayden is having a torrid time on it, as Melandri did. Although Melandri has been Awesome on the Hayate Kawasaki. Melandri used to live in Castle Donington (where the race circuit is) in the UK just up the road from Nottingham where I live, and he used to go into a clothing shop my mate worked in to score some threads. I met him a few times and chatted with him,and got him to sign a few bits and bobs for me. Top geezer! Agreed about the 250 situation too, I also see shitness on the horizon with the 600 era.

Met him too! he lived next door to Jamie Dobb (MX chap) top man.

Casey is a good rider, but I dont like him after what I saw at the race of champions at donny park, he was arrogant refusing to sign shit for kids!

As with Hayden... he's pants.

Feel kinda sorry for Pedrosa this season, he's been hit with injuries soooo badly and he's a cracker of a rider. After his off at Mugello you could tell he was really hurt, as he just lay on the floor in the gravel trap and GP riders NEVER stay down cos they're all tough as old boots! Guess thats the cumulative effects of raw skin grafts+hip injuries+shoulder injuries over the space of a few months. Gotta give massive respect to Lorenzo so far though, giving the big 46 a real run for his money.
