I have a question regarding ranks and point system, answer for which I could not find on the search.

Assuming someone makes it to a rank of a general, yet he/she has less points than current number one player - will he/she show up as number one on globar ranking?

Would it be, in your opinion, unfair towards people that were playing just for the sake of having most points? That would have been a good shortcut to top positions, don't you think?

If you have managed to obtain General rank with lower points then you would still be on the lower ranks.
THe Battlefield system is build on the point system. You wuold however, obtain eternal glory as on off the few to obtain that rank.

But that is exactly the sillyness I mean. Collonel better than a general, and higher in rank? It ends up that the only thing you get is to be a commander if there is a colonel on the server. So, general rank is just like WCR among ranks....

And BTW "klote met de eternal glory" lol

I am seriously considering to learn to fly jets in order to give myself a chance at it in 2007 but jets are so "un-fun"

PS: the last statement is a hope that some of the pilots will tell me what is so fun about it...

It really seems it would take a person forever to make General.  I have yet to see a General among the top ten players, much less anyone else getting their stars sometime this century.  I see the reasoning, earning all "Expert" Badges and accumulating a buttload of points seems like a good benchmark for the rank, but will take a looooong time to reach.  I wish they would have required "Veteran" for Brigadier General and Major General, then "Expert" for Lieutenant General and General.  I predict it will take 1-2 years before we see any Generals, and by that time, people might start getting bored.
