So if all you're doing is posting opinions without bothering to back it up, whether you're able to or not, what are you doing?Ty wrote:
Look I'm not going to rant abouit how WoW is shit, I did that ages ago anyway. I do want to point out that I simply don't see the game as being worth it. Nothing anyone has told me and nothing I have experienced has changed that opinion.
Ive seen someone (friend of mine) sit in the same room for 6 days playing wow. shit was scary. he had his own kettle so he could make noodles without leaving his computerI'm Jamesey wrote:

I tried it, played a bit and got bored, useful for wasting time if thats all you want to play it for.
You asked my to back up my opinions, (I think.) In short I have my opinion because I personally found it uninteresting and that's really all I need to explain. The gameplay seemed boring and repeditive to me and whether level 1 or 80 I didn't see the gameplay as changing or improving. It's a grindfest, everyone knows that, and I couldn't be bothered with it. This aside I also saw it take up a huge amount of some of my friends' lives; when they weren't playing it they were talking about it. I saw it addicting a huge number of people. This combined with the fact that I didn't see the value in it to me made WoW seem like the epitome of pointlessness.Defiance wrote:

I'm not claiming to be right on this and I don't "WoW bash", (at least not any more.) If people want to play the damn game more power to them, they can do whatever they want. However my opinion which is as valid as the next man's is that WoW is a boring waste of time that is no value whatsoever to anyone playing it. Take offense to that if you must, I couldn't give a rat's arse any more.

Thank you. I take no gripe to your opinions, just that they were presented with not so much as a personal experience behind them; it made it sound the same as the stuff GC was spewing.Ty wrote:

You download free WoW trial.
You think its great and buy the game.
You decide to buy every expansion pack that comes out for it.
You get seriously addicted, you need to buy it again and again when you run out of game time.
You lose your job, wife, whatever is left of your social life is gone for good.
Costs grow exponentially. I rest my case.
(and PS. Think a bit before start calling ppl smart ass or that I don't know what exponential means.)
(PSS. This was partly joke, so no need to come guns blazing WoW fanatics. Go watch the South Park WoW Special and you understand)
edit: Why are you bf2s so pissed off these days... more pissed off than bees after someone smashes their nest with baseball bat... :3
If a game is that addictive to you it's not normal.
Tell that to the other wow players.Gawwad wrote:

I play wow and know a lot of people who do as well. Both IRL and then some good friends in game.Ioan92 wrote:

None of them have problems in life caused by the game. It's just another game that cool people on the internet like to bash.
pff World of Warcraft. There is nothing you can do in there I can't on an acid trip.

Huh?Defiance wrote:
Perhaps I misunderstand what you're saying, but that episode is as satirical as everything else South Park does. If all you know of the game is that episode and fanatical stories you've heard, that's the reason you try to make this silly point.GC_PaNzerFIN wrote:

So now I don't know what WoW is???!!? I know a girl who sits playing WoW when her husband works his ass off for both of them. Couple of my friends play it, cousin used to play it too. I have seen enough of it.
Edit: I can't believe how much hate and anger is around this game. Learn2take some critique WoW players. Its a fking game...

world of warcraft doesn't deliver immidiate entertainment; you'll have to invest a lot of your time to enjoy the game to its full extent. Personally I prefer FPS games where you can just play a round or two for an hour and satisfy your gaming needs.
Anyway, if you have a lot of free time, try it, its a great timewaster and great value for money.
Spoiler (highlight to read):
Alternatively, you can get a hobby or, you know, a girlfriend!

Noo... Pretty sure I didn't get addicted. I actually played the game in three month spurts about 6 months apart. Tried 3 times. Just don't find it that interesting. Good fun at times sure, but not brilliant.Ioan92 wrote:

Eve is better imo. I haven't played that much but it's possibly one of the deepest games around. It's a right headbender. Blowing up internet spaceships is awesome though.
Whoa... Can't believe these forums are still kicking.

WoW killed World of Warcraft II.

Its fun.
Try it.
Try it.
Very much so. Most players are completely normal people. And unless you're one of the hard core types, you shouldn't find your self among the nolifers in game either.Adams_BJ wrote:

Yes it is, that's why it's annoying to see people like you talk shit about people playing it every time it's mentioned.GC_PaNzerFIN wrote:

You're the one with the problem here, not the ones playing. Give that a thought.

Never realised people around here played games to 'spend' their time and invest wisely...

All games are designed to be entertaining and to have replayability. People hate WoW because it fulfills this design brief to the ultimate degree. Ironic, really.
