I tried the trial once or twice. Had lots of fun both times, but will not ever subscribe.

I also played warhammer for a few months, it was fun for a while. As I found myself approaching the level cap however, I found it very boring. Repetitive blobs doing the same thing over and over, everyone on the same level.

If this is a serious post - there's only one MMO I've stuck with - EVE online. Yeah, it's "nerdy" with the immense amount of complexity. Thankfully it's not fantasy. It doesn't require you to play to "level", so there's no pressure to play for 12 hours/day. If money is an issue, with a little bit of experience and a clue of what to do, you can pay for your subscription to the game with the ingame currency. It has an extremely boring PvE, but things have been spiced up in 0.0. The game has changed significantly since release and continues to be improved upon. The juicy golden center of this game is the PvP (player vs player) because of the amount of loss. You don't die and respawn with 10% damage on your items, you die and lose your ship for good. It's exhilarating and fun.

No really. I want to know.

I'd like to know too. But my best bet would be that it has something to do with an alternative reality that is so fail, one's own failness becomes irrelevant, so fail people can now interact with other fail people on a pseudo normal level unhindered by their failing.

Anyone that says WoW is too complicated to play has the brain of a 3 year old. The game is so simple and so easy to level.

I am more a fan of Final Fantasy XI.

It's old (not sure how old in relation to WoW), but it seems to be the opposite of what WoW is.

You need to make friends, you can't just solo everything. Everyone is so amazingly nice (Which makes the game so much more enjoyable), too, but it takes a while to get anywhere.

I have had days where I've spent the whole day on it, or just an hour or two. There are things you can do all the time and you also aren't limited to one "Class".

I've heard often that WoW players don't like FFXI (Anti-social IMO) and FFXI players don't like WoW, so I assume they're just opposites and in my opinion, FFXI is the better.

Though FFXIV got announced for next year (Which seems like FFXI-2), which looks awesome!!!

Another idea, wait for this new Star Wars MMO at the end of the year. Looks interesting...

Lol you can't "just solo everything" in WoW. Yea, you can quest 1-80 solo, but there's also group quests, instances and raids. When ever I get on to play, I always get in a group to do daily group quests and instances / raids....

Nah m8 a crappy bestower. Just so I can do more missions and collect up a load of salvage etc before having to make the jumps back to the Amarr Homeworlds to sell it all off at decent prices.

Nah it's all good. Just doing level 2s m8 while training up the very last of my learning skills and improving some of my tanking skills so I can fly the cruisers better.

Orrite, Omen atm. 4 med pulse + standard/multi crystals depending on the situation.

It was a pretty vague comment, but you (should) get the idea, for a comparison.

In FFXI, you can get to level 13, soloing, then you need to party for the other 62 levels (unless you're a Beast Master).

Well... I say "Need", but it will just take an amazing amount of time to solo your way up.
