Not hard at all.. you should have a long tank though. I've never seen them that big (omg). We have some in a couple rivers around here.

ATG, I thought you would have had a better use for Lights, tanks, soil and CO2

That is going to be pretty.

I had several tanks.  I enjoyed the 55 bowfront, but as K-man said -it was a headache (and heavy).  Now I've downsized to a 12 gallon nanocube.  Its salt, but not much in it.

How do you keep algae from growing everywhere and smothering the plants?

I put some small goldfish in to cycle the tank and the fuckers started eating my plants!

So I netted them and dashed their brains out on a rock. I had to replant the tank and the plants are finally starting to recover.

I currently have the expected algae bloom and also with the snails my tank has water lice. Soon I'll put in a clown loach and probably some ghost shrimp to help cycle the tank ( the process where chemicals stabilize and nitrate levels taper off ) and then I will get some fish. Maybe two more months. The loach will eat the snails.

All in all, pain in the ass factor 8/10.

But it looks nice.
