What the fuck? You usually have to be able to pronounce "words" and not just say the letters for them to be considered words, which screws over "btw". We might as well move towards Newspeak.

For a group of people who "monitor language", perhaps they'd be better served by a brief review of the existing language.
In particular, the distinction between a word and a phrase.

A word would be something along the lines of "Web", or "Two", or "point", or "Zero".
A phrase, on the other hand, would be something along the lines of "Cock guzzling gutter whore" or "Pathological media whore" or "Bullshit slow news day filler".
