The people of Iran do not want war.

Only it's leaders.

The youth know that if they don't sack the government chances are very high there will be a terrible war.

I hope they flood the streets and shut the place down and not stop until they have a new government.

edit;

most lop sided poll ever.
Did you see the chart? The results were identical in every part of the country. There was no attempt to disguise it.
Yes.
It's almost as bad as putting Dole against Clinton or McCain against Obama and calling it choice.

Obama extends his hands to the middle east, and the Iranian leadership kicks him in the balls.

He better not stay on the ground.

Twitter users were posting “#CNNfail” on thousands of tweets Saturday night saying that their coverage of important news like the Iranian elections were downplayed by the cable network.
clickmomukhamo: OMG! Major developments in Iran yet CNN isn’t breaking into Larry King who’s interviewing some bikers! #cnnfail

lifeonqueen: CNN is screwing the pooch on this one - top story on web is Six Flags bankruptcy not Iran. Way to miss history CNN #CNNfail

geoffeighinger: RT @Elektracutie They should quit the news and just do travel brochures. #cnnfail

    ivanlasso: RT @dabloguiman: COVER IRAN NOW!!!! @CNN @CNNbrk @CNNWORLD #iranelection #CNNFAIL pls RT
Many American Twitter users praised British and other international news outlets for covering the Iranian election aftermath of riots and civil unrest. The “#cnnfail” tag was the third most tweeted topic on the microblogging network Saturday night. The “#iremember” tag and “#Iranelections” tags were first and second respectively.

Throughout the day users on Twitter and Facebook posted updates on civil unrest and police violence going on in Tehran. They shot photos with their cell phones and posted them online where American Twitter users could see them and distribute them.

The Iran government filtered and blocked Facebook and YouTube accounts to stop people from getting the word out on what was happening on the ground. NEWS JUNKIE, The Atlantic Online, and the Daily Kos were the top three online blogs disseminating news on Iran, including the house arrest of Iran’s reform part, Mir Hossein Mousavi. Iranians were also using Tehranbureau to let the outside world know what was happening.

Twitterers were quick on re-tweeting news on Iran and covering what CNN wasn’t. Some of the top stories from CNN today were on Six Flags’ bankruptcy filing, a grandmother in Nevada who was running a meth lab, and the complaints from people about their analog TV disappearing.

While Ahmewhatever probably did win, a 60-30 margin? Not so sure about that.

It was about as legitimate as the Russian elections in which Putin/Medvedev won a majority of Chechnyan votes.

Has more to do with the Supreme Ayatollah or w/e he is and the whole structure of the so called republic. Though from what I've gathered they broke constitutional law with this last election.

The high turnout of these elections (highest ever I think) is evidence enough it was rigged. The huge amounts of younger people who want him gone who suddenly voted for him doesn't look suspicious at all. Dinner jacket has made this so obvious he might as well have stuck his finger up at a camera.

The sad fact is that with the bastard still alive if the nice Iranian had won, their nuclear agenda would have just had better PR.

With Amadinnerjacket in power and the students being crushed, well, who besides Russia and China will protest stronger sanctions?

The students of Iran must smash in the doors of the palace where Khameni lives even if they must climb over bodies to get there, they must drag him in front of a video camera and execute him. They have to mandate an end to the morality police even if it means that the police all have to be killed.

I think there is a good possibility that Iran goes up in civil war. Do the people not have weapons?  Would it not be the ideal time to bomb their facilities and lend air support to the Uprising? Take out their armor. Bomb their leadership.

The alternative is likely to be nuclear war wherein tens of millions of Iranians may die, and unthinkable millions in other countries.

What a scary time we live in. The economy is in shambles, crazy leaders have nuclear weapons and green advisors of the Western powers recommend that the populations be reduced by 50%.

God help us all.

Well, I guess we have little choice now but to continue sanctions and international pressure on Iran for them to stop their nuclear program.

Before this mess, Iran had a stable government.  Clearly now, they don't.

And yeah, there is going to be one heck of an insurgency that develops in Iran now, which we should fund.  Slowly but surely, we can weaken their government until it is either overthrown from the inside, or things get so messy we'll be able to get some international support for an invasion.

This is Iran, not Iraq.  I am not so sure the people have weapons there.  I am sure some of them would have made themselves known in the last few days if they did, yes?

EDIT: I am not being patronizing, but Iran has tried to hold themselves as being 'civilized,' and we all know you can't be civilized with an armed populace, can you? (yes, sarcasm, but the point still holds)
