BF2S Forums Difference between punish and not punish ???

i noticed it too.I got TKed loked at the points, he has -4 points i punish and... nothing happens

I think it should be different. Teamkilling should be -2. If someone punishes, it becomes -4. If someone chooses to not punish, it goes to 0. If someone ignores it, it stays at -2. Makes ALOT more sense.

Nah, stupid people will punish regardless..
it should be - Forgive, goes to 0, ignore - stays at -2...

People should realize when it is their fault that they got killed, and people should grow up instead of standing infront of planes/choppers/whatnot...

-4 mean the server it set to "Auto Punish" the player TK'ed does not have a choice, in a game where they have a choice it would be -2 for a Forgive and -6 fro a PUNISH.

Quoted for THE TRUTH. If you run up to the Hotel while I'm chucking grenades in it, don't blame me! Accidents happen, get over it. It's usually pretty obvious (red glitch aside...) when someone is purposely trying to TK you, and only then should they get punished.

AHHH it pisses me off sometimes. i was shooting. some team-mate noob walks in front of me. I kill him. . co-incedentally im a medic so i revive him and say sorry.  he still punishes coz hes too dumb to realise that its his fualt. and then he kills me and joins my sqaud and says " thats for tkng me" some people are just naturally pricks. I admittedly say, it rarly gets that bad, and something to that extreme has happened once and only once. ut some people re the dumbest fucks.

at karkand by the square theres that building that r on alot of lvls i went up there and around corner i saw a sniper up there (enemy) went up there a guy came round corner scared me so bad i was holding my knife stabbed in right in the face it was hilarious he flew backwards and blood actually flew out on my knife but he punished me and i said his name was red "it was we even had a uav on his spot and he was a red dot"

Fu*kin hate trigger happy punishers. Especially the ones that run in front of an APC/Tank when they can see it coming at full speed, and then punish after you ran them down.

yeah this is how its done

no, this is not how it is done.  team damage gets you a -2, and a kill gets you -4, totalling in a possible -6 if you took the time to hurt them before you killed them.  punishing has nothing to do with your points.  the only thing punishing has a bearing on is getting kicked form the server, which by default on a punish-enabled server, is 4.  4 punishes and your kicked.  NO BEARING ON POINTS AT ALL.  if your using a -6 as proof, that comes from dealing damage and THEN killing your teammate.  -2 + -4 = -6.  easy peasy.

wow, thanks for setting me straight.  remind me to never play on a punish-enabled server again.  got forbid one of my jackass teammates runs out in front of my DPV and punishes me.  -6 just because retarded noobs can't take an extra second to figure out WHY they died and see if it's worth punishing or not.  you know, the space between page up and page down is, like, 1/4 of an inch.  people should not just spam page up whenever some orange text comes up in the lower left without reading it and thinking for more than a millisecond.

Getting -2 for team damage is stupid. they normally run  in front of u and then call u for killing dem + ur now doing rubbish in the game.
