...of the scary red X logo on friendly mines and claymores now that they're all noobed up?  And do we really need the big scary pop-up logo warning that you are getting close to a totally harmless claymore site?  It's like they're lying to me.  It's like a big jug of Pepsi with a DANGER!  POISON! label on it.

It's no big deal I just find it funny.  I know there are tons of threads about stupid FF being off (which I think sucks) but I thought this was one of the funnier aspects of it.  DANGER!  DANGER!!!! COMFY CHAIR AHEAD!!!

Hey badhq... Did you install patch 1.21 or 1.22 ?

With these patches neither the mines nor the claymores will explode for a friendly (they will still kill them if they happen to walk in front of a claymore on the same moment an enemy does)

So LSD_Wash has a point... Than again, it is the only decent way to make a difference between those black discs on the ground that will not kill you (with big warning sign) and the ones that will (alas no warning sign).

Cheers - Peace - It's a small world afterall,
R

... we are playing another game than...

Ah wait... yeah, it actually depends since patch 1.2:

- Server setting to allow friendly fire to be off on mines without affecting other weapons.
http://wiki.bf2s.com/other/patchhistory

So we are both right; it depends on the server

Cheers mate,

mines can kill friendlies! it is a serversetting whether its on or off.

so do NOT think after 1.22 a red skull is a powerup. (like before?)

some people will never get it

I was wondering how long it was going to take for someone to point that out.

As for servers with mine FF off. You can alway lure vehicles and, infantry towards it.

This international symbol for poison is just letting you know that's it's probably not a good idea to put that item in your mouth.  Although it's also handy for letting you know if the mine your approaching is a friendly mine or something more likely to kill you.

Gee, I don't know, because maybe, that's the way it should be?

i wish i had those red skulls pop up. the other day i was playing with some clan mates and i could see the mines and claymore but it didnt have no red skulls above em. but my clanmate said on his screen it had it. that kinda sucks now cause now i cant tell if its a freindly or a enemy mine. i used to have the red skull appear and then out of the blues it just dissapeared. any thoughts why? i just patched up to 1.22 so when i jump back in ima see if the red skulls over freindly mines appear.

True. I just find it ruins it though when they can place them in the thick of their own team. Claymores should be a defensive weapon used to cover your arse. Not a killing machine.

And please oh please make nades make them go boom again. I have no clue behind the logic of taking that out.

in-game hit ALT or whatever your key is to toggle the 3D map.

Your own road mines will kill you if you exit the vehicle as it approaches your mine using it's momentum. Your better to drive straight over itand then get out to revive someone or lay more mines.
