Got this phone from my brother, in an exchange...it's locked to orange, I'm vodafone. How do I go about unlocking the phone myself?

Inbf4google.

I googled, and alot of stuff came up, but I don't know whether to trust it or not?

afaik some cell phone carriers will help you unlock it if you tell them you will be going overseas.
