Hey guys, I finally saved up enough for this.

I'm pretty sure it will work on my mobo (ASUS P5KPL-AM). But I wanted to ask you guys first. My case is big enough for it that's for sure.

Currently I have a ASUS EN8800GT 256mb (OCed) and it fits fine and all.

What about the PSU? Will there be enough power?

Any more info you need to be able to answer my question just ask and I'll tell you!

If an 8800GT runs on it it should be fine. I don't believe the GTX260's use much more power. What PSU do you have?

How good is this card for OCing?

Can I run Crysis/COD4/ArmA II on high settings with it?

It'll run them perfectly ok. You're not going to be able to max Crysis out at high resolutions with decent AA with that, but it'll do a decent job.

But it's a really good upgrade right? From an 8800GT 256mb (I always play on 1024x768)

1024x768 is just horribly low.

The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. Digitec has a 55nm 260GTX for 219,-- CHF. Stills seems like a waste. Get a proper monitor instead.

What's wrong with that resolution? I've never even tried higher though because I never saw the need. I used to play 800x600 but the letters in text were too big (especially on COD4/5).

I have a Benq FP93G, I'm pretty sure it's 19''

Edit: on my PC desktop I have it on 1280x1024 though

Yer. i run COD4 on all high 1920x1080 and get between 120-500 fps (about 250 average) and i run crysis warhead on enthusiast with AA and 1920x1080... and get around 40 fps. (on a overclocked 1GB HD4870) so you should be pretty right.

EDIT: As long as the rest of your system isn't bottlenecking the card.

You'll have huge CPU bottlenecks at those resolutions.

Okay here's the thing:

Every summer (for end-of-school-year vacation) I spend my time in America (California) and I work for a friend I met. I get paid 20 dollars an hour 5/6 days a week for 2 months. It's computer stuff (Cabling and hardware installation). Last summer I agreed to work full time this summer. I only worked 2 days 10 hours each and got 200$ and bought some nice stuff there.

What should I get? Remember the transportation issues, also I am earning $ and I live in Switzerland, so here we have CHF (francs).
