Will only be used for gaming for when i LAN or playing with clan/friends online. Music will be played through speakers (as i prefer speakers)
Requirements.
- Good sound, especially for gaming environment
- Over ears (i dunno the technical word but i don't want it sitting on my ear I want it to "cup" my ear)
- Good quality microphone, good enough to yell at 9 yr old noobs.
- Must be available in Australia, I use www.itsdirect.com.au most of the time but ill go with any respectable aussie site.
- Must be under $150 AUD

Also, i'm not sure to go for USB or 3.5mm input. I'm a audio noob so I don't even know if it will run through my soundcard (my speakers fill up the inputs on the soundcard, however there is a headphone input on my speaker volume control).
Soundcard is a Creative X-Fi Titanium (don't laugh audiophiles)

That might be a lot to ask but i'm looking for your best recommendations that suit my needs.

Been using these for ages. Bought 'em off that website a few months ago after my older ones from umart broke (then Umart decided to stop selling them.. fuckers.). Didnt come with a USB soundcard like my old one, but Im sure you can figure something out.

Works like a charm. They've fallen off the desk a few times, and survived (they look flimsy at the sides). But I wouldnt count them as totally durable. Sound control thingo is awesome, and it has that switcharooney thing so you can turn your mic off, or turn the mic sensitivity to low/high.

Check em out, they're fairly decent.

they are so good that I'm going to upgrade the stock cable with a better one that is worth more than the cans itself

I would personally use dual stereo mode. Front/rear channels= both stereo

Would it be an idea to plug them in into my speaker headphone input? which means it would be going through my sound card. or would the speaker cables or something deteriorate the sound quality?
