Well, I'll be damned...  We might see a resolution to this in a matter of days, not weeks.

We will see something happening in a matter of days indeed, but I doubt we will be able to call it a "resolution".

At present the Basij are raining down acid from helicopters upon the crowds. It seems the presently establish government might make a stand to the end.

Goddamn the government goons to hell!

I hope the people of Iran drag them into the streets and rip them limb from limb!

Absolutely outrageous!

There is a special place in hell reserved for these bastards I hope.

I hope the Iranian people fight and win.

It's very easy to join it nowadays. You just make some idiotic statement about oil and then you get a feeling of self accomplishment.

Again - a revolution from the inside, not the outside is preferred in almost every case.

I don't think invasion of Iraq was justified but maybe it was a good thing after all- Saddam had to be put to sleep

US involvement in this would NOT be appreciated by most Iranians. They have long memories of the coup against Prime Minister Mossadegh in 1953.

The last thing we or the Iranians need is to transform Ahmadinejad into another Mossadegh.

IMO this whole thing will play itself out to the satisfaction of outside observers. If not in the next few weeks or months, then definitely in the next few years. As I said in an earlier post, I wouldn't give the ruling regime 10 years. The domestic contradictions in Iranian society are too great.

The Iranians will have to break out themselves, there is nothing any foreign power can do without playing into Ahmijad Inc. hands. When they do the victory will be all the greater. Go Iran!

Iran is a modern "western" country with a modern "western" people and a retarded outdated regime.

Sadam gassed some of his own people, supressed the rest and murdered children, so imo:

Iraq, 100% justified.

That the US did so because of other false reason is a whole other thing and does nothing to deny the necesity of the invasion.

True. I found that video truly ghastly. Any government that orders the killing of random women should not be in office.

Update:

-Today between 19-150 death
-Iranian military refuses to enter the fray
-Basij import troops from Lebanon
-Basij marks doors for future raids. ALL IRANIANS ARE ADVISED TO CHECK DOORS REGULARLY AND CLEAN ANY MARKS WITH BEZENOL ETC.

Well, I would assume he actually likes America if he wants us to get involved.

It's understandable that people would question why we choose the battles we do.  I often wonder about some of them myself....

I think Bush said that freedom and democracy would spread throughout the region after Iraq gained its freedom.

Perhaps some people should give him credit for not being a complete monkey fuck and actually having a plan that might work.

This really had nothing to do with Iraq.  With or without Saddam nearby, Iran was headed for revolution.
