My desktop is using a (POS, obviously) Dell rt7d40 model wireless keyboard along with a wireless mouse that connects to a USB reciever. Everything about that is just dandy but problem is the qwerty and number keys aren't working. It has a volume knob and hotkeys that're working. In device manager there's an HID device with a driver error.
A bit ago the keyboard occasionally would go funky with the keys...but I think that was just a battery issue. I dusted out my desktop and set everything back up and the mouse is working beautifully but suddenly I've had the aforementioned issue.
Anyway I figger'd I'd just go and find the drivers but being the great company they are, it looks like dell doesn't have drivers for its own product on its website!
Fanfuckingtastic.
A few google searches digs up this link thread
And it looks like things there are pretty agreeable.

My experience with Dell is that the products, monitor, keyboard, start failing promptly after 3 years. When u try to ask dell support to help troubleshoot their answer is , "get another one."
