hi, i unlocked the m95 and havent been hitting anything with it on wake. the targets are prone and facing the other way. what am i doing wrong. im aiming for the chest and it doesnt even show that i hit them with that little x thing. please help.
in my expierience, the "little x thing" doesnt always show with a sniper rifle even on a clean hit
aim a bit higher, depending on the distance the bullet can drop up to 3 or four times the width of the crosshair, for a medium length shot i usually count on one full width of the crosshair, so i just move it up until i can just see the top of my targets head
only practice can make you familar enough of a judge

just aim a little higher, should work, thats what i do
Ive got a quick tip for ya mate: Hold in the mouse button after youve clicked to fire and you will get the x thingy. (to show if u hit or not)
M95 sucks, i know how you feel on wake especially. thats why i don't use it at all on that map. i try to gauge the bullet drop but i don't get neting

There's only a very very slight bullet drop, maybe a millimeter on the screen at most.
aim maybe 2-3 pixels higher every 150m or so
The M95 has more bullet drop than other sniper rifles. You have to aim high.
jees make your minds up lol, it seems nobody actually knows. ive had about 3 kills from about 3 uses and thats bad, i cant hit anything even if i try everything said here. its more luck then skill cos im shooting at standing targets and could even have time to get a magnifying glass out. rediculous. i love the svd. the m25 is crap too but not as bad as m95, ive had many 1 shot kills with that but the rapid fireing svd is handy at very close range if your being rushed.
my mind is made up, aim high...i am pretty thouroughly convinced that bullet drop exists and even if it does not exist aiming over the head of far away enemies still hits them in the head for some other reason
you guys must smoke rocks cuz if used right you can hit any thing...not saying that all you are PKM whores but you can hit a enemey from across the map with an iron sight and not zoomed in foiled, you must suck at fucking life... you all whine and mone about the M95 cuz you all suck at sniping... not saying i am the best at sniping (cuz i aint) but it's not that hard to pick up another person kit and get a clean head shot from the other side of the flippin map(untill you can't see)...anyone with any little bit of skill can hit a guy with a fucking sniper rifle. you maybe thinking ow the snipers are all noobs that are to afraid to ever get into a real fire fight, and they all leave clays around...well alot of us legit snipers don't...you all fall to our 1-2 shots like dominos...it is one of the eaist kits to pick up to be good...to be the best you need practice and skill...so don't rag on the m95 untill you have acctually practiced with it. i have done it i got good with it, and it will be my next unlock. in my perpective this gun is a favorite of many peoples, and takes skill to master...

ive spent long enough on that gun to know its a hard one to master, maybe even flawed, either way its not amazing or anything. the m25 if anything is an improvement.
another thing is ping dealy. using a sniper rifle is when you most need your ping to be really low.

omg bullet drot exist in real life too moron. Thats why the sniper team (spotter and shooter) adjust there sights befor shooting. Like that guy from canada his buller flew for 4 seconds, droped like 10 feet, and flew 4 miles. If thats bot bullet drop i dont know what is.strangelove wrote:

When in Wake I love using the Type-88. Very steady, accurate and fast. Just 3 shots and u got urself a kill.
