Considering how hard and strict the driving test is, (or seems that way based on people's threads here) I'm surprised there's no waiting period where you can't have anyone under a certain age in the car.
Here (at least in California), you're not allowed to have anyone under 25 in the car at any time for the first 6 months of getting your license. Same rule applies, only from 12am to 6am, for the next 6 months. [IIRC]
