I'm looking for just one song. And it has to be on Amazon.com. Well, I guess you can make multiple recommendations, and I'll pick from those, that'd probably be best. I've got a $1 off promo from an mp3 purchase at amazon, expires at the end of July, but I would like to use it soon before I forget. Oh, and I have access to a Napster account, so I'll probably wind up checking your recommendations on that first, just to see if I can get them for free.
Music I like: Almost anything electronic. Though right now I'm in a sort of IDM phase; but not that glitchy crap. I would like something with a melody and something that isn't too pretentious. Also, trance is very low on the list. In fact, anything danceable is low on the list. I know some of you *cough* uzique *cough* might have qualms with this, but to me, IDM isn't just seemingly random beats thrown together with a bajillion different musical pieces going on. To me, IDM is very basic: electronic music that you sit at home and listen to. I suppose an analogy would be classical music. It stimulates the mind, has a lot going on, and is pleasing to the ear. You can pay attention to it and it'll sound wonderful, or you could be doing something else at the moment and it'd make great background music.
Rather than typing out a list of tracks, you should just go here. (Yes, I'm making you click a link. But I'm being serious here. I would appreciate it if you made serious recommendations instead of saying the inevitable Daft Punk or Pendulum. Those are examples of the last kind of music I would like).
This is greatly appreciated, and if there's so much good stuff that I can't even pick one, I might even wind up buying them all
And despite this initially only being for the purpose of using a dollar coupon, I'll wind up finding more music to listen to, so thank you very much!
