I've always been taught to stand perpendicular to your target. For a right handed person, the bow would be on your left arm which points straight left. Your right arm pulls the string from the bow across your body, your hand stopping just past your jaw. This way, the vanes end up very close to your face, allowing you to look down the shaft to aim.

IMO, it should be like that and you zoom in when you draw the string. However, that poses its own problems; I like haffey's solution, as long as the arm doesn't take up too much space.

Such a shame that valve decided to nerf the game rather than add the feature as standard. Rockets around both corners was so useful, and it would really only take 5 minutes work to add it to the game by default

There was a script which allowes you to easily change the viewmodel position on the fly. Essentially letting you fire around corners.

They should bring back the view flipping, was really useful.

However one problem is that when you shoot with the flipped view, it fucks up the w_model, especially for Pyro.
