I was talking to my girlfriend when I got disconnected... i was like hey are you there? next thing i know i here a man say...' It looks like a sting ray..hello? why'd you put me on hold?' then he hung up

wtf...its like the call was intercepted or some shit

Possibly she has call waiting on, and she was talking to someone else when you called.  Then she accidentally pressed the wrong button.  I'm not sure, I haven't use call waiting myself.

sometimes you just randomly get other peoples phone calls

with optus if you had no credit and made a call, let it tell you you had no credit then keep listening to someones convo, but they couldnt hear you
they stopped it though
