There should be a small hole on the front panel of the drive. Just push a pin or paper clip in there and the drive should pop out. Make sure the CD is not spinning.

Sounds like it's trying to eject, but can't...

How far should I push it in???

Edit: it sounds like it's freaking out, I can't hear anything over CPU fan until i push pin in.

This happened to me when i was burning a CD with iTunes, it stopped burning halfway said it was done then fucked itself.

I just rebooted and it opened fine after that. I then stop using itunes for burning CD's and just import itunes playlists into nero smartburn (or watever its called)

That worked, tracks fucked themselves after the 5th one. iTunes is a POS. My neighbor is one of Apple's tech support people, I should complain to him tomorrow.

For the record, I haven't had any problems burning with iTunes in the 4 or 5 years I've been using it. Both mp3 CDs and regular audio CDs.

Well, at least you got it worked out

It probably doesn't help anything for my computer to be in a room that's nearly 90 degrees Fahrenheit @ 12 AM. I can barely hear over the Heatsink Fan.

I never had a problem with itunes for 4 years and then suddenly it just fucked itself and died. I tried like 8 different discs (different brands and stuff too) and in both my disc drives and it happened every time.

Isn't there a limit as to how many times you can burn a certain song?  (As in Song X cannot be burned more than 5 times to a CD, on the 6th attempt it won't allow the song to be burned)

I thought I remember reading that somewhere when I used iTunes...

That only applies to DRM protected songs downloaded from the iTunes store. Non-DRM purchases and/or normal MP3/AAC files do not have this limit.

Yes, there is a limit. I think it's 5. However, what the best thing to do is to burn the song on a CD, then re-import it into your library and you've got a DRM-free copy. Plus it'll be in mp3 format or whatever you choose instead of the AAC.
