Ok, forgot to back up my cod4 profile. (In program files)

I went ahead and used GetDataBack. I found it, but of course you cant copy files with the demo version. >.<

Are there free programs that will do the same thing or can someone direct me to the right place to acquire one?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magnetic_force_microscopy

the naval base at annapolis has a very advanced one of these, and can recover data from any hard drive, no matter how many times it has been formatted, wiped, etc...

in a nutshell, the process involves measuring the depth of the grooves created on a hard drive platter with an atomic microscope.  since 1's are written slightly deeper than 0's, they can tell what each bit on the drive was, just based on the depth of the grooves and their magnetic "leftovers."  they get deeper and deeper as time goes on, so it's possible to recover all of the data ever written to the drive.  i'm sure my explanation is extremely simplified, but it's the best way to describe it.

I have used that and it works. Nothing is ever truly gone until it is written over or damaged.
