Yeah I found it funny how the Deceptions were essentially beaten by a small US military force teamed up with a few Autobots. I mean when you take into account it was so small scale that they manage to successfully cover it up and deny all existence of these robots, you realise just how small it really was.
I don't know whether the Transformers films were just an advertisement demonstrating the military prowess of the USA and the ability to cover things up or what, look at it this way, they barely broke a sweat trying to defeat the decepticons. It's not like all of the worlds forces were mobilised to defeat them like Independence day or something. Nope, just some sort of Marine expeditionary force/task force, a few battleships an aircraft carrier and maybe a squadron from the USAF. Yeah sure they lost an Aircraft carrier and a few soldiers and vehicles. And they probably wouldn't have been able to win if it wasn't for Optimus, but still
In that sense, the film didn't make sense.
