New mobo Driver problems.

So I just installed a Asus P5Q mobo, and windows keeps shutting down with varying drive issues popping up. I have run the install disc that came with it, and it was troublesome enough getting through all the installs between crashes. But they are still happening. I am tired as hell here, and my brain isnt working properly. Any advice on how to stablize my system would be sweet.

Its a new computer I assume? Maybe your install of Windows is corrupt, try redoing that?

naw, havent even got around to that, to many crashes.... need to figure this out by monday, so if its a hardware issue i can have the board replaced.... dont want to take it out though, dicking around with the water cooling can be a bitch.

Well... that went beyond badly, since I was using a HDD from a HP... I had to try a destructive restore, and guess what, 10% of the way in the system crashed again.... I'm more than slightly annoyed now, because now when I try to start up, I just get a NTDLR missing message, now I have no OS. fuck...

BAH I prove that wrong. I changed Mobo 7 times, graphics cards MANY times, hell I changed whole PC 3 times and didn't even remove old drivers.

Just slapped the old HDD to new rig and then deleted the old drivers and isntalled new.

Well, considering you are still posting, just format the drive in the computer you are using currently. Then just re install windows.

Dont have the XP boot up disc, just tried win 7 on a fresh HDD, crashed out during install, gonna try to get a vista install disc tomorrow or monday, but I think its a hardware issue now, trying to warranty it.

Its not driver issues if you are experiencing them with multiple OS installs.

Run memtest, chdisk and LinX.

e: also, are you getting BSODs? If so, what does the text say?

The 4 BSODs I have recorded today are:
SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXECPTION
PAGE_FAULT_IN_NON_PAGED_AREA
IRQ_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
MEMORY_MANAGEMENT
As well as experiencing several random system restarts with no error message.
I am begining to think the is a problem with one or more of the DIMM slots. When I only used the yellow slots, I had considerably less crashes. It was still crashing, but less. I never had a problem with my ram on my old board, so I know its fine, and it is on the compatible vendors list... so.

sounds like the memory is not compatable with the mother board p.s. , anytime you install a new MO , it's like building a new comp , you have to make sure EVERYTHING is compatable , HDD/MEM ect ect , it's like starting from scrach , reinstall windows XP , for windows 7

Never make assumptions about something working if it worked on old build. It can jsut die off spontaniously during assembly. Just run the memtest.

Also try with one ram stick and different slots.
