If the world decides to end in 2012 then be it so. More likely, though, some nutcases will blow their heads off and some cult will commit mass-suicide and afterwards the life will go on.

Humankind as it is nowadays is not stable anyways and I believe it will destroy itself in the following few centuries. But then again I am one of those people your mummy warned you about, that have no enduring faith in humanity.
