So, after nearly two years, the 8800gts has served me well, but now I think it's time for an upgrade.  I'm looking at the gtx 260

It's in my price range (<$200), and fairly well reviewed and benchmarked.  Anyone have any experience with this particular card and/or bfg tech?

I realize its 5 bucks over your limit. but this is a much better performer and will be more future proof.

My Dad said that he got a GTX 260 on sale some where. I don't know where though but I recommend looking.

BFG tend to be a fairly sound bet and the GTX 260 is a pretty decent card. Provided you're not doing anything too over the top it'll be absolutely fine. I've got one, it's been perfectly OK for me.

What are the rest of your specs? Anything more than a GTX 260 might not be the best choice with the 300 series right around the corner.

When is the 300 series expected to release?
