I posted this here because for some reason, I can't post a new topic in the "Non-BF2" forum.
Anyways, here is a link to a (rather low quality, but still cool) video of the Su-37 in action.
The Su-37 is a Russian made aircraft based off its current Su-27 Flanker. The Su-37 aircraft features canards (the little wings on the nose of the plane) and Thrust vectoring, which for those who aren't familiar means it can move its tailpipes up and down to a certain angle (it is not capable of the angles the F-35 can reach, however).
For those who may recognize, it looks alot like BF2's Su-34 Platypus (another Western nickname - "Flanker" has become a somewhat generic term for the Su-27+ family), with the Su-34 being the two-seat ground attack version of the Su-35 fighter. The Su-35 does not feature thrust vectoring - one of the only differences between it and the Su-37.
Anyways, this plane, because of its vectoring capabilities is able to pull off some pretty cool maneuvers, including the Pugachev Cobra (the plane whips upwards at a vicious angle and then levels off with little altitude lost). It can also fly backwards for a brief period of time in mid-tumble roll.
Hard to explain - just watch the video!
