turning bf2s into a forum focused on all games, not just one, would make this place very much like neoseeker.com i use that site for quick info on new games and such, and while it is extremely easy to navigate and use like this site, tbh there isn't the sense of community there that makes this place unique.
Maybe we should create walkthroughs / guides for games and add them to the library (if that isn't what we're doing already). But instead of a wall of text, have screenshots and a more user-friendly way of navigating through them. They seem to be quite popular on IGN and other gaming sites.
I also want to say cheats for single player games but that would probably attract the wrong crowed to the forums

To be honest, I am getting sick of this forum and want us to move NOW!!! It's change we can believe in, eh?
The irony of guns, is that they can save lives.

I tried to use Trackr, I knew what it was, and it's intent, I meant the actual site NAME.liquidat0r wrote:

what was Trackr?
Export the BF2 stats system to trackr
Add stats systems for the new BF games
Add stats systems for other games
A multi-game stats tracker --> trackr
That plan fell through when EA (or whoever's responsible) decided not to let sites pull 2142, and future games, stats.
If I was some random gamer, the name Trackr, would not have appealed to me as a gaming site, if I was perusing the web for a gaming site. Incredibly shallow, but really, who clicks on a website that it's name sounds irrelevant to their interests.
That is what my point was.
was it meant as a site that "track"s stats for BF?
see what Im saying?

EE (hats
So you're saying that you go to Google because it sounds like the word "search engine"? What does the word "facebook" have to do with "social networking"?RoosterCantrell wrote:

While there are a lot of sites where the domain name is relevant to the content, there are plenty that are relatively unrelated - as demonstrated.
Gaming domain names are pretty saturated to be honest. In my opinion, something that stands out is better than the conventional gaming orientated words. And anyhow I said why the name "trackr" was chosen.
See Morpheus' post and the line of my post that he has highlighted.

Trackr died immediately after birth. Poor fella, never had a chance.
I don't think it was ever born properly.Ryan wrote:

It was released way too early and dropped like a bomb afterwards, so basically it is a premature birth. Oh and if trackr needs a name change, I think gamebat would be a decent one.liquidat0r wrote:

eh.... Im talking about from someone who has no idea what Trackr is, from an outside point of view, not a BF2s member.liquidat0r wrote:

But tbh, I was trying to make a small point, and I am not choosing my words right I guess.
So, just forget what I said, because it really isn't worth clarifying at this point
But I do think the lack of Karma was a real hurting point.
I think you guys take karma too seriously.

I also think that as well as "Official Reviews" and stuff for games goes, also having "User Submitted" reviews would be neat! You could have Review teams tackle games and such.ebug9 wrote:

Chuy abandoned Trackr because he doesn't like the code it operates on or something like that.
As it's his own project, for his own personal amusement, we are just pawns in his game!

Whoa... Can't believe these forums are still kicking.
I just want him to know that side project or not, he spent a lot of time working on it and I'm here to help, as well as most people in this thread. The support has been good so far, positive to say the least.Flecco wrote:

I think for starters any post that you are going to post here just post it on trackr instead. If there aren't anymore posts here then it's dead right?

Just close bf2s.com and redirect to trackr. It's not that hard.
No, that makes you dead to us.War Man wrote:

People need the motivation to post over there first, we don't even know the fate of the current Trackr forums at this time.Blade4509 wrote:

i think most people just like the look and feel of bf2s. if it ain't broke... blah blah.
changing the domain name and page to reflect a new name on bf2s would be great, but i think the new layout just really turned alot of people off to trackr. i gave it a shot, and tried to get some new threads going, but it just didn't have the appeal.
Bf2s just looks good and is what we're used to. I think that if trackr looked like Bf2s, and had the same activity, people would make the switch much more readily, as has been said.
