So you have a 2% chance of dying?
Exactly.
A 1 in 50 chance of your kid dying is not good odds in my book, I know your were stating fact but like i said as a parent that don't sound good, if my newborn gets it there is no proper way to treat it is a hit & miss way of watering down the adult drug & administering it via a drip there are no set dosages for kids, my 2 year old is on the full adult dose & we have to break open the capsules & sprinkle it on to honey for my boy to take it so far has made him violently sick after the second dose now he seems OK & like i said he is his usual self.

I'm not having a go here Stryyker I really am not but no parent likes to be told that there is a chance albeit small that his kid/s could die.
From what I hear, those aren't the odds. Current stats in the UK show the mortality rate to be around 0.5% of cases where professional medical help has been sought. Estimates vary as to what the actual mortality rate is, but it is expected to be around 0.1% - with the highest risk group being those aged 25-50. There are contingencies in place for the mortality rate to be as high as 1% (which may be where the 1% figure floating around has come from). On paper it looks less dangerous than regular flu.

Hope you all get well soon.
