well BF2 it self works but i cant patch it to 1.41 no matter what i do it just keeps to show me version 1.29 or something like that i tried to work as compatibility as Vistas win xp win 95 98 any thing even installed win7 64 bit i thought its a but that goes only for 32bit win 7 but same thing still cant patch even tried to patch bf2 and then install sf to reset and then to patch but even that didn't help.
and i wonder is any one here who have windows 7 have working BF2 with version 1.41 or higher?
hope that some one can help me thanks in advance.
Oh and BF2141 can patch any version it needs it just goes for BF2

strange , heard there might be some compatable issues with windows 7 tho , i'm still using windows XP , no problems at all , try a different operating system

I do, I have win7 and BF2 working well to be honest I have the complete collection though so I don't know if that would be any different? All I did was install BF2 as normal and it up-dated by itself. The only thing I would suggest would be to d/l the patch and run it seperatly, just a sugestion, the only problem I have occasionally is with PB, but that tends to be a local problem rather than anything to do with connections. Sorry I couldn't help anymore and hope you get there.

well i guess  i gonna need to install windows xp maybe BF2 don't like that this computer have windows 7 -.-

no no no, Win 7 will work, no need to revert!
I had same prob, too.
INn your C\program files(86)\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2 folder, find the BF2.exe. Right click> properties>Compatibility tab. Click Run As Administrator. (it might be already clicked.) Then do the same for the shortcut on your desktop!

i was talking about patching it the game runs perfect but not patchable till  version 1.41 just it just show me 1.29 or something like that after i downloaded many times 1.41 patch version from different sites but all kept giving me same result

The 1.41 patch does show some number in BFHQ like 1.29 .34597l.34585 or something.. ur good

holly crap xD i forgot to look at the server list instead of that i looked at version thanks that Run Administrator thingy helped
