Ok, I just ranked up to first sergeant (hurrah!) and something odd happened.

I can only select between the MK3A1 and DAO-12, I have SF...

Does this mean I can only unlock the flash bang if I use up my first unlock? Which annoys me somewhat, I was wanting to just use 1 unlock on the flash bang and hold back on using the second. Just incase EA/DICE release a new unlock in the future before I rank up again.

If it does require I use up my first unlock, what do you people recommend? DAO-12 or MK3A1?

i think you have to be playing SF to get those unlocks and the flashbang isn't one of them its the F2000. but DAO neway jackhammer isn't as good

Yeah, I played SF for all of a minute or so. I might start playing SF maps now that i've familiarised myself with the BF2 maps.

Hmm, the DAO is the shotgun unlock for the AT. Makes sense, the engineer already has a shotgun. Be interesting to replace the AT MP5 with a shotgun. Will unlock it in a bit.

You already have the flashbang. When you unlock the F2000, you get an annoying flashbang instead of a smoke grenade.

I seriously doubt there will be any new unlocks, so just use both.

That's weird, then why does it show the lock icon for the flash bang even though I have the F2000 unlocked?

It just comes with the package. Neway, think of the big picture when you unlock. I haven't picked up the P90 in a while but it wasn't too good in close squarters. The MP7 is wicked accurate for an engineer gun but the Jackhammer seriously sucks. The DAO pumps two shots into a person to kill, one in the face i think, or maybe i just got lucky those few times. Pick wisely, because i'm sure that you know already the next unlock will come at 50,000

no, i doubt there will be more unlocks, maybe with the release of 1.3, but thats a long way off...get the DAO 12 for shure, but the p90 sucks, so i would get the jackhammer just to say you have it...

Yeah, i've unlocked the DAO. I've now got 1 unlock left, it's either the P90 or Jackhammer.  Next time I kill someone with these weapons i'll pick them up and give them a try.
Until then i'll leave that 1 unlock.

the flashbang in and of itself, isnt an unlock, it just comes with the F2000, thats it.

Hope i cleared that up for you guys
