Does anyone know how to remove or mute the voice over seperately from the in game sounds?

To clarify this is regarding the "in game" voices like pressing the buttons Q & T such as "ammo here", "enemy boat spotted"

Delete your BF2 voice overs folder!*

*Warning: I claim NO responsibility whatsoever if this completely fucks over Battlefield 2.

Just kidding, there must be an option or something to disable them.  But what, I'm not sure.

Why do you want to do that...you don't want to hear your squad members anymore?

If you can figure out who it is you can simply click on the speaker beside their name, in custom squad or command.

He's not taking about VOIP, he is talking about the in game sounds as he explained. Ammo Here, Need First Aid, Enemy Whatever Spotted.

You could try going into your audio setting and turn down the (I think its this one) effects. I know I had to turn mine down because when I was in a jet it was so freaking loud I couldn't hear my clan on TS. You may have to fool with it, I'm not sure if it will also silence your footsteps and such which you need in the game.

Nope,  I tried everything in the game,  now Im wondering if anybody knows a link or knows how to edit the files,  to prevent the in game voices from playing,  just like how people edit the intro videos by relabeling them so the intro doesnt play.

The audio files are part of the .zip folders. These are the folders that PunkBuster checks during the Verifying Client Data thing. If anything there is modified from how PB is told what it is, it disconnects you and gives you the modified data error. So, AFAIK, there is no way of doing it without circumventing PunkBuster, which would result in a hardware ban if EvenBalance were to find out.
