I'd like to get a wheel for toca, grid, rfactor and the like. I'd like to pay < $100, so no G25. Anyone have a wheel they recommend or don't recommend?

I've got the MOMO and it's fine for a cheapish wheel. I got it to see if I would enjoy racing games more with a wheel and it's plenty enjoyable. I don't use it everyday so I don't speak from experience but I've heard, if abused heavily, it will wear out dramatically.
DO NOT plug the wheel in before the driver installation tells you to otherwise you'll have trouble with Grid. DO check out this thread if the pedals/force feedback don't work as you would expect in Grid.
I had to disassemble it an hour ago because some gunk got on the motor splines. Because of which, I can report that there isn't a warranty voiding sticker (that I saw) and it's internal construction is simple enough; you'll be able to fix it if something goes awry mechanically.
Edit: In a sentence, you're not paying a premium so it's not perfect but it will get the job done well if you're not seriously in to racing sims.

I ignored it. No point in getting other wheels. They're all a bit shit - I've had dozens over the years, G25 is the only decent one. It's also been plummeting in price recently, it was £160 a few months back, I've seen it for £110 recently.ghettoperson wrote:

Feels very solid. I've only had mine about a year though - I was also skeptical about spending so much on a wheel, but I'm glad I did. Now I just need to buy some new arcade sticks for SFIV and all will be well.

If you do get a G25 careful how much force feedback you put on it, I've had my current one a little over seven months now and after a good 40 mins session, the motors get pretty warm till it gets to the point you can smell burning off it.
Then again am all but certain I did spill something on it a few weeks ago..........
