No he wasn't, it's cos you were 12 years old and thought his style of being "not in with it" was cool, although I can't remember much of spawnymist I do remember he always tried to be the bad guy, I mean it was funny cos he's Scottish and thus it's like a lol multiplier, but still
I agree, he appealed to the weak minded then, and to the nostalgic now.

I think he sent Parker $40 for a knife. He hasn't received it.

I'm sure you can get more juicy details when he's back online....

Why do you Americans always use lbs for measuring weight? It always makes more sense to use the biggest practical unit, which is the stone, not the lb. I don't get it. Can anyone clear this up?

Haha, but seriously, do people really need new gutters that often in California? I mean, our house is about 15 years old, and they've never been replaced.

Maybe so. They're certainly much more practical.

But I still like measuring my weight in imperial measurements (if I'm ever doing any sort of calculations the 1st thing I'll do is convert to Kgs) - but I use the appropriate ones.

Americans would laugh at me if I told them my weight in ounces. How is that different to expressing it in pounds instead of stone?

People don't like doing math if they weigh, say, 185 pounds, to stone. The only people who would reasonably use it are persons such as myself who weigh approximately 10 stone. Even so, I bet a good 50% of people don't even know it is a unit of weight.
