So I wanted to do a WW2 Marathon this week since I heart my knee playing tennis and so I have like 10 WW2 films: Saints and Soldiers, The Down Fall, The Pianist, Band of the Brothers etc. And something that really fucking bothered me were the German Uniforms.
You have guys with fuckign crosses everywhere on their uniform and including one up his own ass, then silver stripes etc, Who The Fuck designed them. Seriously, i didn't know if i was looking at a general or a private. One old guy came on teh screen and i thought shit this guy is a general and some young guy comes and it turns out he is a captain of somesort. For fuck sake, the famous Hitler scene in the Downfall there are like 20 german generals or whatever and everyone of them shit i can't be bothered to finish typing.

Most of the German gererals were very good and out classed the US & UK generals, but as you know, Hitler threw a pissy fit if things didnt go he's way. = they lose.

It was more that they tried to do more than their fair share with out telling Germany, and then when they couldn't the asked the Germans for help. The result was that Germany diverted troops from preparations for the invasion of Russia to bail out Italy, ultimately causing the invasion of Russia to be delayed and the Germans to be stuck in the middle of no where for the Russian winter. Also there was that changing sides in the middle of the war thing too.
