Hello everyone,

Here where I live the temperatures are fucking insane, we are getting 40 degrees Celsius, daily.

My components are pretty much idling at 50 C and are hovering near the 80's on load. Case is an Antec 900, GPU is a GTX 280 and the CPU an E8400, with stock cooling..

Am I going to be fine?

Also, If I replace my case fans with 3k RPM fans, that will help alot right?

You should really get a heatsink for the E8400.

80C is too much for the E8400 (preferably under 70C), not too much for the 280GTX (can take 100C).

I have no checked the CPU temperatures actually, I'll run CoD4 and report back.

Only my 280 is at 80..

I think GPU should be fine @ those temps...

I guess different fans would help some...

Negativ, the CPU rapist that is GTA IV only sent my CPU to 65 C

And the GPU to 70

I'll test COD4 now..

COD4 Results;

80 on the GPU, 60 on the CPU.

Along the fact that there is an annoying visual glitch...

What's up with the green smoke? I asked a bunch of people in game if it is green for them too, they all said yes. Bloody hell?

Have you tried to set the CPU fan to 100% all time? + try to leave the case open...?

Fan is at 100%, ran benchmarks and stress tests, the CPU won't go over 65 and the GPU not over 80.

I wish Romania was as economically fit as western Europe, unfortunately were not. F7P is almost 100 RON, that's a lot here. Soviet salaries, European prices.

Just hit 90 degrees Celsius yesterday night after 3 CoD4 missions.

Just to make this clear, my ambient temperature and the dust in my computer are the sole things to blame, right?

Ambient temperature is of air outside is of 32 degrees Celsius.

In-case ambient temperature is of 39 degrees Celsius.

Here's something I don't understand..

Rivatuner reports a core temperature of 38 degrees for my GPU, while Precision reports 46 degrees Celsius.

Could anyone clear this up for me?

If your room, where the computer is, temperature is close to 30C or over it, you should consider getting some sort of air conditioner.

I'm ready to bet it is over 30 as it is over 30 outside.

My apartment is a fucking oven, and I don't money for an air conditioning unit, I barely have enough to live.
